Candles by Homestead Originals

I love to support work-at-home moms and you will see me recommend various websites throughout my pages. I will try to place the business information on appropriate pages. Because I love to light candles in my living room, I'm going to list candle companies on these pages! I can highly recommend candles from Homestead Originals. I have several in my home and they burn clean, light smelling - not overwhelming, and for a very long time! Their candles are made from soy and so do not emit toxins as they are burning. They sell all sizes, shapes and prices for all budgets. Try a Homestead Original candle today!

Keeping Up With the Paperwork!

I have to say that I just couldn't make it through my day without my schedules and to-do lists.

- Each morning, while eating breakfast, or maybe at night before going to bed, I get out my pad and paper and write down everything that I need to attend to that day. I then check the items off as I tackle them. Of course, most days there are usually a few items that I didn't attend to, so those items are FIRST on the list for the next day. I'm just one of those people that will forget things if I do not write them down! I don't stress about things on the list not getting done by the end of the day. By carrying these "to-do" items over to the next day's list, I ensure that it will get done at some point!

- I use my calendar daily and keep it near the phone so that I can mark down appointments and special events as I receive phone calls or mail.

"Most of my friends will tell you that I am a very organized person. However, I would argue that I’m not! I am to a point, but I never feel like I am getting it all done like I should be. Then I received The Busy Woman’s Planner for review - it is definitely heaven-sent! I’ve tried using day planners before, but just never succeeded in using them long-term. I do not think that will be the case with this planner."

- When scheduling our subjects for each year, I look at the big picture and then get into more detail ... maybe a monthly plan, then a weekly, then a daily. Below is an item that I have become aware of and that may be useful for any family!

The Busy Body Book is an item you should look into if you are in need of some help organizing your day!

Look inside The Busy Body book here.

Here is some information about The Busy Body Book from the website,

"With BusyBodyBook, the time management tool for Mom and her very busy family, each family member has their own column to plan and track their schedules and activities while coordinating with each other side by side.

Easily view overlapping schedules and avoid doublebooking with the BBB family calendar. Find perfect time slots for important family time!

And, BusyBodyBook Organizer is versatile. Use spare columns for babysitter instructions, meal planning, holiday or vacation preparations, home renovation scheduling.

Or,
make use of an additional BusyBodyBook planner to manage your home business, or personal goals, - a separate BBB for your children to track their 5 school subjects. "

This WONDERFUL organizing item retails for $16.95 ... what a great price (see samples here). This item can also be purchased for fundraising purposes - more details here.

It is my hope that you will find something useful here on my site!
I currently enjoy the privilege of being able to stay at home
to homeschool my children and I am always striving to be
the best caretaker for my precious family.

"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."
